The relevant person in charge of the Zigong Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism introduced that this training is also aimed at further enhancing the comprehensive competitiveness of Zigong colored light enterprises in foreign trade and the creative design level of colored light products, and creating colored light cultural products with international competitiveness.

In recent years, the "Zigong Lantern Festival" and "Zigong Colored Lanterns" have become prominent social and cultural landmarks and city cards in Zigong, endowing this old industrial city with unique charm. Relying on the characteristic industry of Zigong's colorful lanterns, Zigong successfully established the only national foreign cultural and trade base in the southwest region in 2023, adding a golden signboard to Zigong.

However, currently, the lighting industry is facing fierce market competition and a shortage of talents. It is urgent to cultivate outstanding talents for industry development, strengthen the lighting talent team, and continuously inject new vitality and driving force into the industry's development.

The location of this training is Sichuan University of Light Industry and Chemical Technology, which is also closely related to colored lights. The school has established the China Lantern Academy, a Chinese industrial college with a Chinese prefix, as well as research and professional practice platforms such as the China Lantern Art Inheritance Center, the Key Laboratory of Lantern Culture and Technology Innovation - Sichuan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, and the Lantern Metaverse Research and Development Center, injecting new momentum into local economic development and talent cultivation.
